Wie ist ein Glasfaserkabel aufgebaut?<\/h1>

Im 2. Artikel haben wir \u00fcber die gr\u00f6bsten Unterschiede, zwischen einem Kupferkabel und einem Glasfaserkabel gesprochen. Und einer der Punkte war, dass wir \u00fcber die Glasfaser die Daten mittels Licht transportieren.<\/p>

Damit das gelingt, ben\u00f6tigen wir aber einen bestimmten Aufbau der Glasfaser damit a.) das Licht dort drin bleibt und bis zum Empf\u00e4nger kommt und b.) nicht sofort zerbricht wenn man mit dem Kabel arbeitet \u2013 es ist ja Glas.<\/p>

Also \u2013 wie sieht der Aufbau aus?<\/h3>

Folgendes Bild soll uns dabei helfen<\/p>

Faserkern & Mantelglas<\/h3>

Wie wir schon im vorherigen Artikel gesehen haben, ist der Faserkern (mit einem Durchmesser von 9 \u03bcm) der Kanal in dem sich das Licht von A nach B bewegt. Da weder das Kabel noch der Lichtimpuls kerzengerade \u00fcber die gesamte Strecke fegt, brauchen wir eine Art \u201eLeitplanke\u201c an der das Licht zur\u00fcck in die Mitte gesto\u00dfen wird \u2013 diesen Vorgang nennen wir in der Glasfasertechnik \u201eTotalreflexion\u201c. Damit das passieren kann, wird um den Kern ein sogenanntes Mantelglas (mit einem Durchmesser von 125 \u03bcm) \u00a0gelegt. Diese Schicht hat die besondere Eigenschaft, aufgrund seiner Zusammensetzung und in Kombination mit dem Einfallswinkel des Lichtstrahls \u2013 diesen in den Kern komplett zu reflektieren.<\/p>

Coating<\/h3>

Jetzt wo das Licht im Kern bleibt, k\u00f6nnen wir uns um die Stabilit\u00e4t k\u00fcmmern. Man darf nicht vergessen, dass wir bisher nur Glas in Verwendung haben und bekannterma\u00dfen ist ultrad\u00fcnnes Glas sehr zerbrechlich. Damit die Fasern gebogen werden k\u00f6nnen und damit gearbeitet werden kann, werden mehrere Schichten aus Kunststoff dar\u00fcbergelegt. Diese geben der Faser die notwendige Flexibilit\u00e4t nicht zu brechen, wenn sie eingezogen, eingeblasen oder verlegt wird.<\/p>

Zugentlastung & Au\u00dfenmantel<\/h3>

\u00a0Wo wir beim Thema einziehen sind. Wenn das Kabel eingezogen wird bzw. in einem LWL-Abschluss montiert wird, muss das Kabel irgendwie gegen den Zug gesch\u00fctzt werden. Dies passiert mit Kevlar \/ Aramidgarn \u2013 ja das ist das Material welches auch in der Schusssicheren Westen unserer Polizisten verwendet wird.<\/p>

Zu guter Letzt kommt noch die Au\u00dfenh\u00fclle um alles zusammen zu halten.<\/p>
